There are quite a few guides on offer at amazon so it was pot luck that I chose this one. Well written in an easy going style, almost like the author is looking over your shoulder. Ample screen dumps and full of useful tips. The security aspects were particularly useful as I didn't really have much insight into what settings I needed to consider, never mind how to actually set them. I already had my nexus for a while before I download this book. Its probably a fine book for beginners but I didn't learn anything new from it.
pretty helpful on such a vast subject
The Nexus 7 was my first foray into the Android world, and Paul's book was my wonderful guide. I've been in the IT world myself, for quite some time, and value well written publications that can get me up to speed quickly --- this book is, I believe, great for the newbie or the experienced individual looking to add a few things to his bag of tricks.
I found this book to be very helpful. The Nexus 7 is my first experience with an Android device and I really needed some help in going through the set-up stage. Paul Walmsley provides detailed instructions in an easy-to-understand style. I was very glad I had this reference book to rely on. First I borrowed this book from . Then after reading and applying his advice, I purchased the version and find myself going back to it from time to time.
